I went to the doctors yeserday and it was definitely bitter sweet. I told my doctor about my biggest problems i have been having lately and he told me he didn't know anything that could help and there was nothing i or he could do. That is definitely the most frustrating part of all of this, doctors not having enough knowledge to help me. My biggest problem right now is breathing, i have major issues with breathing, i was told that it was because my brain was sending the wrong messages and making it seem like i am not getting enough oxygen when i actually am. That was definitely news to me. Just wish there was something i could do.
The good news is i got medicine to try. The one i have is Midodrine which will help higher my blood pressure and help with the fatigue and dizzyness so thats good. I also get to try saline in a month or so after giving this medicine a good try. The funny part is when i went to get a prescription filled for it they told me they had never heard of that medicine and had never ordered it before. They specially ordered it for me for the next day though. It made me laugh though :)
With this medicine i have to check my blood pressure every morning to make sure it doesnt get too high so i got another fancy gadget that my whole family was testing out last night. And i already made a notebook chart in all different colours to spiff it up a bit :)
I also picked up some salt tabs to try but i'm a little nervous because i heard they can upset my stomach and i have had stomach issues for YEARS. I'll have to be careful about that.
And i have some compression stockings to try and when i put them on yesterday they actually seemed to really help already so i'm super happy about that! The lady i got them from gave me some weird sticky gloves that look like gardening gloves to put on my stockings. As she put it i would have to use the gloves to "milk them up my legs". They are quite funny. But i actually got decent stockings that are not that ugly and have a nice lace trim at the top. Good work whoever thought of that.
